Hi, I'm Norma!
I am a self-taught artist, art journaler, and a deeply feeling human. My creative journey began not from joy, but from survival. I’ve lived through trauma, abuse, grief, and the quiet, aching work of trying to find myself again. Art became my way back.
When words weren’t enough, colour stepped in. When I didn’t feel safe speaking, my hands moved for me. Through layers of paint, collage, and messy marks, I slowly began to listen to myself… and to heal.
I created this course as a space for people like me. The ones who feel deeply. This course is not about being an artist. It’s about using your journal as a safe, sacred space to feel, express, and come home to who you really are.
I believe in starting soft. In letting go of perfection. In making space for joy, even when it feels far away. I’m so happy you’re here!

This course is divided into 3 modules. In the first one I’ll share my personal journey with art journaling, what you can expect from the lessons, and how this practice can support your emotional well-being. You’ll also discover the fascinating science behind why art journaling is such a powerful tool for self-expression and healing.
The second module is dedicated to supplies – I will tell you about everything that you'll need to start painting. From paints and brushes to mark-making tools, collage papers, and journals. You’ll know exactly what you need (and what you don’t!) to create pages that feel vibrant, expressive, and uniquely yours.
Inside the third module you'll find practical lessons where we dive into creating your first art journaling pages. This is where the fun part starts!


Grounding & Releasing
This part is all about letting go of what no longer serves you and finding calm within yourself. Through guided art journaling practices, you’ll learn how to release heavy emotions, transform them on the page, and reconnect with a sense of peace and stability. These exercises will help you create space for clarity, balance, and new possibilities.

Calming and self-regulation
We’ll use art journaling to reconnect with the most tender parts of yourself. You’ll explore your inner child with compassion, practice seeing yourself through a lens of love and kindness, and learn how to set healthy boundaries through creative expression. These exercises are designed to nurture self-acceptance and support deeper emotional healing, giving you tools to honor who you truly are.

Self-compassion and empowerment
This is all about stepping into your power and expressing yourself with confidence. Through bold, creative exercises, you’ll embrace your authentic voice, celebrate your uniqueness, and strengthen your self-belief. By the end, your art journal will reflect not just your healing journey, but your growth into a more empowered, unapologetically you.

Healing the past and emotional safety
This is an invitation for you to gently explore old wounds and transform them through creativity. With guided journaling exercises, you’ll learn to release the weight of past experiences and begin rewriting your story with color, texture, and compassion.
